Amongst other things he has paddleboarded the length of the Mississippi, skateboarded across Australia, swum 1001 miles, written three books, stayed awake for 72 hours in a row without turning crazy, and for years has tried in vain to get Nutella to sponsor his adventures. But will he give up? Never!
The Buff. Featured on every single Expedition1000 journey to date. Used as a sunhat, bandana, dust guard, prevention from neck chafing against wetsuit, wristband, facewrap and now a swim cap!
It’s unlikely that there’s a more versatile piece of material on the planet. Probably.
Our Stiffy boasts the Visor Buff, one of Corn’s personal favourites when he’s not swimming. The visor can also be worn at the front, as Nessy is showing below.

Dave wore one Buff on his head (even over a swimcap during the colder final three weeks of the journey) and one around his neck, tucked into his Orca 3.8 wetsuit to avoid chafing.
