Hi Dave, I'm a budding adventurer with a goal to swim the channel holding #1 position in my bucket list. I want to make my big splash in the world but I'm struggling to find funding. How did you find funding for your first endeavour?

I saved, I wrote to 1000 companies (3 replied), I found some very small sponsors, I travelled cheap, I made a splash, as time went on from expedition to expedition it became easier. My advice is to not give up, be original in your methods and be clear in your goals and how you might be a worthwhile bet for a donor or a sponsor…
